The week ahead will be busy for the USD 386 Madison-Virgil Board of Education.
Board members have three special meetings, all to interview superintendent candidates. Meetings will be at 5 pm Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, all at the Madison High School meeting room. Board members will conduct the interviews in executive session.
A special meeting to announce a new superintendent has not been scheduled.
Names of superintendent candidates have not been released.
The special meetings follow the announcement of Tammy Baird’s upcoming retirement after better than 30 years in education, including the last two as Madison-Virgil’s superintendent and the last four as the district junior-senior high school principal.
