If you want to know how William Allen White’s home became a state historic site, details are coming this weekend.
The Red Rocks State Historic Site will have a special off-site presentation called “Becoming a Kansas Historic Site.” Longtime site spokesman Roger Heineken, a guest on KVOE’s Morning Show this week, says Kansas State Historical Society Executive Director Patrick Zollner will be the featured presenter.
Red Rocks first opened to the public in May 2005.
The presentation is from 2-3 pm Sunday at Emporia State University’s William Allen White Library.
More information about Red Rocks is available online at kshs.org/red_rocks and on social media.
