USD 284 Chase County is apparently close to choosing its finalists for superintendent.
Board members meet at 7 pm Wednesday, and Board Chair Mike Spinden says the board will select its candidates advancing to the finalist interview stage. The next superintendent will replace Glenna Grinstead, who is retiring at the end of the academic year in June after six years leading the district.
Separately, the board has a special meeting at 7 pm Monday. The meeting will be in executive session for personnel matters after the board placed an unspecified staffer on paid administrative leave late last month. Additional details are not being released due to this being a personnel matter.
The full agendas for the meetings next week have not posted to the district’s website, usd284.org.
