In our first matchup of the evening, the Chase County Lady Bulldogs raced out to an 18-8 1st quarter lead before winning 55-21 over Burlingame.
Chase County was paced by 21 points from Madelyn Wilson.
Head Coach Clayton Happy was pleased with how his team came out and took care of business.
Chase County improves to 12-3, while Burlingame sits at 3-12.
A back and forth affair was the nightcap with Burlingame withstanding Chase County 53-48.
Both teams traded 7-0 runs in the first quarter, with Chase County leading 12-11.
Drake Skirvin proved to be a matchup nightmare for Chase County as he scored 11 points in the second quarter to give Burlingame a 27-23 halftime lead.
Chase County would battle back in the third, as they hit back-to-back three pointers to tie the game 40-40 to end the quarter.
Burlingame would respond however much in part to Skirvin, and Senior Dane Winters to pull away to end the contest.
Eric West was happy to see his seniors step up and lead the team to the victory.
Skirvin led all scorers with 25 points, while Chase County was led by Wyatt Griffin with 16.
Chase County will be back in action Tuesday against MDCV, which will also be KVOE’s game of the week.
