Emporia Spartan Boxing’s Melissa Veatch has an opportunity to make her first competitive experience an unforgettable one Sunday.
Veatch advanced to the title bout of the women’s 168 lbs division of the 2025 Las Vegas Masters Boxing Championship tournament with a unanimous decision victory over Utah’s Chelsey Taylor in her debut bout Saturday. Veatch will now face either Melissa Gallagher or Devon Cannon, both of California, Sunday afternoon.
Also in action for Spartan Boxing Saturday was Robert Sieberns who was making his second appearance in Vegas and fourth appearance in the ring overall. Sieberns faced Utah’s Louie Cruz for the men’s 165 lbs title and was defeated by referee’s stoppage.
