Superintendent and property matters will be part of the USD 253 Emporia Board of Education agenda this week.
Board members will get a report from the Kansas Association of School Boards about focus group involvement and feedback when it comes to recommended superintendent characteristics. Administrator contracts are also on the agenda.
Separately, the board will have an executive session to discuss potential acquisition of property — after holding two separate executive sessions on personnel matters.
Other agenda items include an update on SparkWheel’s work in the district and possible approval of a boiler replacement at Emporia High.
The meeting is at 6 pm Wednesday at Mary Herbert Education Center.
