The Emporia High boys bowling team is riding tons of momentum heading into the postseason.
On Monday, the Spartans wrapped up an undefeated regular season by winning their home quad at Flint Hills Lanes. Emporia High finished with a team series of 3,571. Colton Swift finished third to lead the way for the Spartans with a 701 series. Nate Green finished fourth with a 685 and Morgan Liggett finished fifth with a 659. The Lady Spartans finished second with a series of 2,500. Emily Major finished third to lead the way for the Lady Spartans with a 531.
Regional is up next for Emporia High at Flint Hills Lanes. The Lady Spartans will bowl at 9 a.m. with the Spartans bowling at 1 p.m. The top four teams will qualify for state, scheduled for March 5 at North Rock Lanes in Wichita.
