The first of two rounds of candidate interviews to select the new Emporia Rec Center Director is coming Thursday.
Rec commissioners will be conducting the first series of interviews with four candidates via Zoom. According to ERC Board Chair Jeremy Dorsey, a second in-person interview process will then take place at a yet-to-be-determined time.
Dorsey says the commission could narrow down the candidate pool between Thursday and the second interview meeting, however, nothing is “set in stone.” The meeting will begin at 5:30 pm in an open session before moving into executive session for the duration of the interview process.
The names of the candidates have not been announced.
