Newman Regional Health has its first-ever Interactive Heart Health Fair taking place Friday, and Marketing Specialist Saylor Middleton says there is a lot planned — including a chance to meet with the hospital’s Cardiopulmonary team.
The list of activities is lengthy, with free blood pressure checks, medication reviews, sleep screenings, body mass index assessments and meal planning among the activities. There will also be several guest speakers beginning at 11 am.
The event is free. Activities will be from 10 am to 2 pm at the Emporia Senior Center. Check-in begins at 9 am, with cholesterol testing available at that time but people need to be fasting for at least 12 hours to get the most accurate results.
Residents with questions can call 620-341-7781 or find the Interactive Heart Health Fair on Facebook.
