The recently-formed Emporia chapter of Women for Kansas will have a current events forum next week.
The featured guests for Tuesday’s forum are Kansas Reflector Editor-in-Chief Sherman Smith, a former Lyon County resident, and other members of the Reflector staff. Attendees are encouraged to ask questions throughout the event, which is free and open to the public. Activities begin at 6:30 pm at the Lyon County History Center.
Women for Kansas has been formed as a platform to “recruit, motivate and education women and all Kansans” to increase the numbers of moderate politicians at all levels of state government.
