Lyon County Area Transportation will be loaning one of its vehicles to another county for a short time.
During their regular action meeting Thursday morning, county commissioners gave approval for LCAT Director Shane Brunner to loan one of the county’s buses to Anderson County. The request for the loan came from the Kansas Department of Transportation as Anderson County is currently down a vehicle.
Commissioners approved the loan so long as insurance, damage and liability were all covered through a contract with KDOT. Additionally, commissioners approved Lyon County Engineer Chip Woods to send out requests for proposals for new grader blades.
Human Resources Director Alicia Rumold also sought approval of an invoice from KWORCC for the remaining worker’s compensation obligation for 202,4 totaling more than $21,000. That request was also approved.
County commissioners will reconvene for their weekly action meeting next Thursday inside of the Lyon County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
