SOS is honoring the life and legacy of Kathleen Inwood with a special event this month.
SOS will dedicate the Kathleen Inwood Family Room as part of activities at 4 pm March 20 at SOS, 1420 C of E Drive. The public is invited.
Inwood was the first director of the SOS Child Advocacy Center, serving for over a decade in that role and developing foundational policies still in place today for facilitating multidisciplinary teams and providing a child-friendly, neutral atmosphere for interviewing children allegedly abused or neglected. Under Inwood’s leadership, the Emporia CAC helped to develop other similar facilities across Kansas.
