Several Lyon County department heads have requests up for consideration during the Lyon County Commission’s upcoming meeting Thursday morning.
Among them will be Noxious Weed Department Director Amy Welch, who will ask commissioners to consider signing the department’s annual report and management plan. Separately, Lyon County Engineer Chip Woods will seek approval of a quote from Foley Tractor Company for paver track smooth belts totaling more than $17,900 to be paid from the county’s Road and Bridge fund.
Community Corrections Director Erin Rodriguez will submit two items for approval: the fiscal year 2026 Kansas Department of Corrections adult and juvenile services comprehensive plan and budget.
Finally, commissioners will receive a presentation from Emporia Public Library Director Pauline Stacchini on the library’s annual performance and statistics. The meeting will begin at 9 am inside of the Lyon County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
