Several area school districts are in varying stages of replacing their current superintendents.
USD 243 Lebo-Waverly is now in the list after current superintendent Duane Ford announced his resignation last month. The district is working with the Kansas Association of School Boards on the search, including an online survey currently available through the Lebo Schools and Waverly Schools Facebook pages.
USD 253 Emporia is receiving applications and working through desired characteristics as part of its affiliation with KASB. A new superintendent could be announced by April 7, with finalist interviews later this month into early April.
Three area districts are now in the process onboarding new leaders:
*USD 284 Chase County has hired Aron Dody to replace Glenna Grinstead, who is retiring
*USD 386 Madison-Virgil has Dallas Woolf after the retirement announcement of Tammy Baird
*USD 421 Lyndon hired Kimberly Woolf, Dallas Woolf’s wife, to replace Brad Marcotte after the district and Marcotte reached a separation agreement early this year
