The Lyon County League announced its All-League Basketball Teams on Sunday morning.
On the girls side, there were two unanimous selections on the first team with Lebo’s Saige Haldey and Marais des Cygnes Valley’s Akyra Traver. Madison’s Jalynn Weakley, Olpe’s Lilly Skalsky and Lebo’s Siara Crouch round out the first team picks. Second team honorees are Waverly’s Josie Romig, Hartford’s Lauryn Finnerty and Trinity Windle, Madison’s Caylin Luthi and Burlingame’s Joselyn Simmons. Honorable mention picks are Northern Heights’ Briauhna Pierce, Madison’s Candice Ashlock, MdCV’s Emily Criqui, Olpe’s Kayla Steinke and Hartford’s Keilee Finnerty. All-Defensive Team selections include Windle, Traver, Romig, Lebo’s Abi Jones and Madison’s Jenna Thomsen. Hadley was named the LCL Player of the Year.
Three unanimous first team selections were chosen on the boys side with Olpe’s Brecken McGuire, Burlingame’s Drake Skirvin and Lebo’s Zach Oswald. Burlingame’s Dane Winters and Olpe’s Dexton Hoelting round out the first team picks. Second team honorees are Madison’s Colton Isch and Octavian Dean, Hartford’s Coy Wilkinson, Lebo’s Drew Konrade, Olpe’s Abbott Bailey and Northern Heights’ Cooper Woodrow. Honorable mention selections are Waverly’s Dustin Foster, MdCV’s Landon Traver and Burlingame’s Timmy Roberts. Skirvin, Hoelting, Konrade, Madison’s Lane Smith and Hartford’s Nolin Trester are the All-Defensive Team. McGuire was named the LCL Player of the Year.
