The #38 Emporia State women’s tennis team fell 4-3 to Lewis to open play in Florida at the USTA National Campus Sunday. The Flyers won the doubles point and then gave up a point due to being down a player. The Lady Hornets took a 3-1 lead in the dual after Perla Conde won at #3 singles and Anastasia Pesic picked up a win at #5 singles, but ESU went 0-3 in matches to clinch the dual. Emporia State is back to work tomorrow facing #31 UT-Tyler.
