Emporia State women’s basketball coach Brian Ostermann has announced he is departing as the head coach of Emporia State women’s basketball. Ostermann said in a statement on Tuesday that he was resigning “to pursue opportunities at the Division I level”. Ostermann led the Lady Hornets to a 24-35 record and two appearances in the MIAA Tournament. He had previously spent most of his coaching career as an assistant at the Division I level. ESU finished this past season 10-19 with a 5-14 record in the MIAA. The ESU athletic department has announced that a national search for his replacement is underway.
