Two Osage City men are now in custody in Osage County for alleged drug possession and distribution activity among other charges.
According to Osage County Sheriff Chris Wells, Sheriff’s investigators and deputies conducted a search warrant in the 1100 block of Laing Street in Osage Cityon Monday. Following the execution of the warrant, authorities arrested 74-year-old Dennis R Bent on suspicion of meth distribution, distribution of drug paraphernalia and criminal use of weapons.
Friday, authorities arrested 36-year-old Shane M. Weller for suspicion of meth distribution, distribution of drug paraphernalia, criminal use of weapons, defacing identification marks on a firearm and an unspecified warrant out of Johnson County. Both individuals are being held at the Osage County Jail, and formal charges are pending.
