From this point forward, the old school building in Cottonwood Falls will be known as the Chase County Community Center and the Cottonwood Lofts apartment building.
Nearly 100 people gathered at the school Tuesday for a ribbon-cutting and open house signaling the opening of the apartment side of the property. The Chase County Old School Development Group worked closely with Frontier Development Group of Manhattan over the last year, and Frontier Managing Partner Tyler Holloman says he was glad for the partnership.

Old School Development Group spokesperson Lee Anne Coester says Frontier went “above and beyond” with its restoration efforts.

She also says the Old School Development Group isn’t done with its work, adding there is more work ahead on the Community Center. She says the Development Group is also seeking people and groups interested in renting the facility.
