Emporia High athletic events for Tuesday postponed due to forecasted weather

Due to the forecast for Severe Weather on Tuesday evening, most athletic events for Emporia High have been postponed. The boys tennis team was set to open its season with a home tournament but has been postponed with no make-up date announced. The Spartans will now open their season on Thursday at Spring Hill. The softball team was scheduled to open Centennial League play at Hayden, and that doubleheader will be made up on Wednesday. The girls swim and dive team was scheduled to travel to Andover Central, but the Lady Spartans will not travel due to the threat of severe weather. Emporia High will be searching for a replacement meet. The Lady Spartans will next be in action on Thursday at Topeka West.
