The Emporia High girls soccer team snapped a two-match skid on Monday night against Wichita Southeast, 4-2.
Emporia High got on the board in the 10th minute with a goal from Emersyn Johnson. The Golden Buffaloes tied the game in the 16th minute, but the Lady Spartans got the lead back in the 24th minute with a goal from Katie Smart. Johnson made it 3-1 with her second goal of the night, with Smart adding her second goal in the 45th minute. Johnson said she was proud of how the team responded after Wichita Southeast leveled the match at one.
