The Emporia State baseball team suffered their second shutout of the year falling 3-0 to Arkansas-Fort Smith at the Trusler Sports Complex on Saturday. ESU managed just three hits in the game and were 0-for-7 with runners in scoring position in the game. Lion starter Grant Shankle (5-7) earned his first career complete game victory while Hornet starter Seth Stover (4-5) was solid giving up five hits and two runs in 6.2 innings to take the loss. The Lions ended a 20-game losing streak in weekend games with the victory and level the series to a game apiece. The teams will face off Sunday to decide the series at 12:00 p.m. Pregame coverage begins around 11:50 a.m. on the Hornet Sports Network/Mix 104.9.
