The Emporia State football team will have two players looking for spots in the NFL this offseason. Wide receiver Tyler Kahmann has signed with the Colts as a priority free agent while cornerback Jaaron Joseph has been invited to Panthers mini camp. Kahmann was a consensus All-American for the Hornets last season and caught 282 passes for 3,686 yards in his Hornet career. Kahmann caught at least 100 passes and over 1200 yards with 20 touchdowns in his final two seasons in Black & Gold. Joseph was named First Team All-MIAA following his second season with the Hornets and set a program record with 16 pass breakups in 2024. Joseph led the MIAA and was second in the country in passes defended with 18.
