The Emporia High boys golf team finished 11th at the Topeka Country Club Invitational on Monday. The Spartans shot a 327 as a team, finishing 25 strokes behind team champion Olathe Northwest. Nolan Jacob led the Spartans with a 12th place finish shooting a 76. Will Walker finished in a tie for 38th with an 83. Jared Johnson finished in a tie for 37th with an 82. Will Walker finished in a tie for 38th with an 83. Hudson Sauder and Chesney Erkel finished in a tie for 76th each with an 89. Emporia High will host the Class 5A State Showcase on Thursday at Emporia Golf Course with action beginning at 10 a.m.
