One person was hurt and hospitalized in a two-vehicle crash in central Emporia on Monday.
The crash happened at Ninth and Congress shortly before 1:20 pm. The Kansas Highway Patrol says an SUV driven by 56-year-old Laura Greenwood of Emporia was northbound on Congress and stopped at the sign at Ninth, while an SUV driven by 31-year-old Jesse Sage of Topeka was westbound on Ninth. Greenwood pulled forward and hit the Sage vehicle.
A passenger in the Sage SUV, 50-year-old Laurie Warren of Pittsburg, was taken to Newman Regional Health for suspected minor injuries. Nobody else involved in the wreck was injured.
