Once again, Emporia’s Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7957 is heading to the Cottonwood Trail for its annual Day of Service.
Work takes place Saturday, and club member Gary Post says there will be some touch-up work after some significant work last year.
Residents are asked to gather at the All Veterans Memorial starting at 9 am Saturday.
Post says over 500 Day of Service projects took place across the country last, and Post 7957 earned special recognition for its project at the All Veterans Memorial. Post members and community volunteers went to the trail twice last year for cleanup work.
