If you want to know which city streets and intersections are closed due to construction or upcoming events, a new online feature has been designed to help.
The city of Emporia is rolling out a brand-new Construction and Community Event Street Closure map available online at emporiaks.gov/livemap. The map offers real-time updates on construction-related closures, including whether work zones are completely or partially closed, and tentative start and end dates for projects. It also demonstrates detour routes if needed. For community events, the map also offers notifications about traffic flow impacts.
Residents and visitors are urged to bookmark the page and check regularly for updates.
