An Emporia man accused of fleeing law enforcement as part of an incident in early February has reached a plea agreement in his case.
During a preliminary hearing Monday, Angel Lemus pleaded no contest to amended single counts of battery on law enforcement and interference with law enforcement, following an incident Feb. 5. Lemus was originally facing charges of aggravated battery against law enforcement, aggravated battery reckless deadly weapon and flee and elude. The flee and elude count was dropped along with the reckless deadly weapon aggravated battery count.
Sentencing is June 25.
