T. J. Racherbaumer led six Hornets receiving All-MIAA baseball awards after being named First Team All-MIAA at Catcher on Tuesday. Racherbaumer hit .311 with a 1.016 OPS with 10 doubles, nine home runs, and 32 RBIs. Noah Steele received Second Team honors after leading the Hornets hitting .368 with 15 home runs, 53 RBIs, and a 1.149 OPS. He ranked in the top ten in the MIAA in homers, slugging, and on base percentage this season. Logan Myers was named Third Team at second base after hitting .328 with 16 doubles and 40 RBIs a season after being named the MIAA Co-Freshman of the Year. Peyton Lewis got the Third Team nod at designated hitter with a .341 average with 22 extra-base hits and a team leading 19 multi-hit games. Pitcher Cade Barton received an honorable mention as a starting pitcher after going 5-3 with a 4.80 ERA. Freshman Brady Unrein also earned honorable mention honors after hitting .294 with eight dingers in his first season in Emporia to go along with a .993 fielding percentage. The Hornets are the No. 9 seed in the MIAA Tournament and face host Missouri Southern in the first round on Wednesday.
