Roof repairs are coming to Olpe and Hartford High Schools following action by the USD 252 Board of Education Monday.
As part of their meeting, members approved just under $30,000 in roof work for Hartford and just over $50,000 for Olpe. This is just a small portion of roof work that is scheduled to take place over the course of the next several years according to Superintendent Ryan Muhlig.
Muhlig says the district will be planning additional repairs over the next year based off of grades from a roof audit in 2023 which graded roofs from A to F, starting with the F segments and working up.
Separately Monday, the board also approved a bid for concrete work in front of the district office ranging between $35,000 to $40,000.
In other business, the board discussed protocols for the district’s Cardiac Emergency Response Team, a team of 5-6 individuals who will receive specialized training to respond to a cardiac emergency. The USD 252 Board of Education will next convene in June for its regular monthly meeting.
