Delayed several times, jury trial is tentatively set next week for an Emporia man accused in Sedgwick County of child rape.
John Robert Burton is tentatively set for trial to begin Monday in Wichita. Trial has been tentatively set and delayed four times for various reasons.
Burton was arrested in June 2023 and faces single counts of rape and aggravated indecent liberties involving a child under the age of 14.
