Emporia High alum Olivia Eckert finished ninth at the NJCAA DII Women’s Golf National Championship held in Boone, Iowa that wrapped up on Friday. Eckert had rounds of 80, 79, 85 and 78 over the four-day tournament helping Iowa Central Community College place third as a team finishing behind Shelton State and Mesa. Eckert was also named an NJCAA Division II All-American. Eckert graduated from Emporia High in 2023 and signed with Iowa Central Community College. Eckert helped the Lady Spartans to their first-ever Centennial League Championship and a runner-up finish in Class 5A in 2022.
