Pioneer Bluffs is seeking a new operations director.
Sammy Jo Happy, named this past July as the agency’s leader, has resigned her post so she can take on a larger role in her family’s ranching operation. Happy has been involved in ranching since she was a toddler and calls the decision to leave Pioneer Bluffs difficult, adding, “It has truly been an honor to serve at Pioneer Bluffs and be a part of its mission to preserve the rich ranching heritage of the Flint Hills.”
Happy followed Christie Reinhardt, who led Pioneer Bluffs for about six months after the retirement of Lynn Smith — who has returned as director of donor relations.
