A pair of candidates added their names to separate city council ballots Friday.
Incumbent Rick Jones is seeking another term on the Olpe City Council, while hopeful Dan Gerelman is seeking to fill a seat on the Americus City Council. Both filings come with a little less than a week and a half remaining before the filing and withdrawal deadline.
The deadline is noon, Monday, June 2. If enough candidates file, the primary election will be held August 5 with the general election scheduled for November 4.
