Two Emporia High golfers placed at the Class 5A State Golf Championships that wrapped up on Wednesday. Nolan Jacob finished in a tie for sixth with a two day total of 142. Jacob shot a -3 68 for his final round of his high school career.
Hudson Sauder finished in a tie for 15th with a two-day total of 147. Sauder shot an even par 71 in his final round of his high school career.
Will Walker finished in a tie for 31st with a two-day total of 152. Walker shot a 75 in his final round of his high school career.
Jacob, Sauder, Walker and Jared Johnson are the four seniors on this year’s team with Marley Harter and Chesney Erkel set to return for new head coach PJ Marstall next spring.
Council Grove’s Drew Buchman finished in a tie for third in Class 3A at Garden City with a two-day total of 149. Buchman shot a 76 in his final round of his high school career.
