An aggravated kidnapping case is no longer working through Lyon County District Court.
The case against Johnathon Burris began in late March and also included counts of aggravated battery, aggravated intimidation of a witness or victim and battery. At a hearing last week, prosecutors requested additional time to serve the alleged victim and witnesses in the case. Judge Jeff Larson denied the motion and dismissed the case without prejudice, meaning prosecutors can re-file later if they so choose.
