Lyon County Commissioners will begin the 2026 budgeting process with their first round of appropriation requests Wednesday.
During a study session Wednesday morning, commissioners will consider budget requests from the Lyon County Fair Board, Hetlinger Developmental Services, Emporia Main Street, the Lyon County Treasurer’s office, Elmendaro Township Library and Lyon County Clerk’s office. Following these presentations, commissioners will move their session to the Lyon County History Center, where they will receive a presentation of the center and its 2026 request.
The study session will begin at 9 am inside of the Lyon County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
