Thunderstorms are still possible Sunday evening, but the risk of severe weather has passed.
Storms have fired along a cold front, but the boundary passed through the KVOE listening area before storms developed.
Showers and storms behind the front may drop up to half an inch of rain before they depart the area.
Area counties should be dry through Wednesday evening, but chances of showers and storms then go through at least Saturday.
8 am Sunday: Severe wind, hail possible Sunday
Severe weather is unlikely but possible Sunday afternoon.
The National Weather Service says a cold front should trigger storm activity, with the KVOE listening area to be affected by mid-afternoon. The area is in a marginal-to-slight severe weather risk, with areas south of a line from Lyndon to Emporia to near Newton in the slight risk area. Hail to the size of quarters is the most likely risk, along with up to half an inch of rain.
