A pretrial hearing is coming next month in a Lyon County rape case.
Erik Alvarez waived speedy trial matters during a pretrial hearing earlier this week, Judge Laura Miser then set July 11 as the final pretrial hearing date.
Alvarez faces one count of rape against a child under the age of 14 dating back to January 2021.
