Prosecutors in a Lyon County drug distribution case have amended the charges against defendant William David Walters.
When he was first charged this past January, Walters was charged with distributing up to 450 grams of marijuana, using a cell phone to commit a felony, possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia. A count of criminal possession of a weapon by a felon was added in late January. An amended complaint submitted Monday changes the dates of alleged criminal activity but still keeps the activity limited to this past January.
A pretrial hearing is tentatively set for July 25.
