No injuries were reported after a pickup truck was destroyed by fire outside Emporia on Monday night.
Emporia Fire responded to the 600 block of Road 170, or just over a mile southwest of the Kansas Turnpike’s Emporia tollgate around 10 pm. Fire Capt. Willie Ward says the truck was parked in the driveway and was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived. Investigators remained on the scene for at least three hours after the initial emergency call, but the cause is currently undetermined.
