As Jeanine McKenna prepares for a new chapter in her life, the Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce has announced a farewell reception in her honor.
“A Stylish Farewell: Celebrating Jeanine McKenna’s New Journey” will be from 3-6 pm July 16 at the Trusler Business Center. The public is encouraged to attend.
McKenna is leaving Emporia to become president of the Greater Northwest Kansas Community Foundation after leading the Emporia Chamber for over 25 years.
Meanwhile, Kelly Mayer, the longtime Visit Emporia Public Relations manager, has retired after 17 years associated with the Chamber. Her farewell reception took place Wednesday.
