A Kansas woman is fortunate she didn’t suffer serious injuries after an incident at the Maple Hill Truck Stop parking lot Thursday.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says the incident happened shortly before 11 am. Troopers say 45-year-old Amy Cook of Ogden left a large pickup truck, which was briefly parked at the truck stop, and walked through the pumps — only to have the truck driver, 45-year-old Nicholas Cook of Ogden, pull behind Amy Cook and pin her into the front of a small SUV driven by 62-year-old Patricia Bowen of Bloomington, Indiana.
Amy Cook was taken to Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka with suspected minor injuries.
