The Emporia Land Bank is having a virtual meeting Monday.
The board will consider whether to approve a board representative to attend the Lyon County tax foreclosure sale Tuesday. This also includes authority to register for the sale, to submit bids and handle any and all documentation to finalize any purchases on behalf of the Land Bank.
This follows an executive session at the Land Bank’s June meeting, where the board approved a $40,000 budget for possible land purchases. The board also authorized City Community Development Coordinator Jeff Lynch as the board’s bidder, with authority to complete all needed paperwork.
The meeting will be held on Microsoft Teams beginning at 11:30 am. A previous agenda indicated a 9:30 am start.
