One of the most important fundraisers for SOS will get started this week.
SOS Strong will begin Wednesday with 16 men involved. Executive Director Mickey Edwards:
Community Relations Coordinator Hannah Crowl says the participants will do more than just raise money during the campaign.
Edwards says the funds raised by SOS Strong and its female counterpart, Heroes for Hope, are vitally important to SOS operations. The reason? Grant funding has been declining for well over a decade.
Crowl says is fun to watch the individual campaigns unfold.
The kickoff event is at 4:30 pm Wednesday at the SOS Community Advocacy and Service Complex, 1420 C of E Drive. The campaign goes through Aug. 18. More information is available at soskansas.com.
