A man wanted for active warrants in Geary County has been arrested in Wabaunsee County on suspicion of having stolen property — as well as a homemade pipe bomb.
Wabaunsee County Sheriff Eric Kirsch says the arrest of 46-year-old Cameron Thomas Bronson developed as part of a traffic stop shortly before noon Wednesday, thanks to a coordinated effort including the Kansas Highway Patrol and Alma City Marshal’s Office. Kirsch says Bronson had warrants for violating court orders, failure to comply with at least one court order and possessing stolen property out of Cloud County. Kirsch later said Bronson had “an enormous cache of miscellaneous” stolen items, pinpointing at least one item listed as belonging to the city of Salina, as well as an incomplete pipe bomb in his possession.
This investigation continues.
