Court proceedings are ongoing for two Olpe residents charged after two alleged burglary incidents at a Chase County cell tower.
Jeremy James Cox is charged with single counts of burglary, theft and criminal damage to critical infrastructure, as well as two counts of criminal trespass to critical infrastructure. Meanwhile, Margaret Danielle Fankhauser, age 50, has been charged with single counts of burglary and criminal damage to infrastructure.
Both defendants have preliminary hearings July 21.
Both were arrested after alleged incidents at a tower and nearby items owned by Heartland Tower was damaged in late April and early May. Documents posted to the Kansas District Court Public Access Portal accuse Cox of taking wave guide couplers, used to split or redirect electromagnetic power.
