As work continues to sell the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1980 building at 932 Graphic Arts Road, post members are asking for help with a project at the facility.
Post Commander Phil Sickler says members are looking to install what’s called a French drain as a way to fix runoff issues on the north side of the building. Sickler says all the materials and equipment are available, thanks to member donations, but the group needs manpower for the actual installation.
Sickler is asking for two to six volunteers willing to help with about 4-6 hours of what he calls light dirt removal. Most of the trenching needed for the project will be handled by machine. Sickler says the VFW can also provide community service credit if needed.
