Two Emporia streets that see a lot of traffic were affected by water main breaks Thursday.
First, the 700 block of Weaver had a break shortly after 7 am. It took around three hours for that break to be repaired.
Just about an hour after the work on Weaver Street was done, Underground Utilities crews had to respond to Sixth and Mechanic after a water main break in the intersection. That was another three-hour process to get that immediate area back to normal with water service.
