Emporia’s Transient Guest Tax Advisory Board has a special meeting at the end of the month.
Board members will meet at noon July 31 to handle agenda items originally part of a meeting set for July 15 before that meeting could not take place. Items include a resignation letter from current chair Matt Fowler to avoid potential conflicts of interest through his role as Visit Emporia interim director, as well as votes for a board chair and co-chair. The board will also review an appropriation request specifically by the Emporia Arts Council, with a related, more general discussion on appropriations with the purpose of developing a follow-up form.
The meeting will July 31 be at White Auditorium City Conference Room 1AB. The next regular meeting for the board is Aug. 19.
